1. What ages do you work with?
We specialize in working with children from 12 months through adolescence (21), supporting communication development at every stage.
2. What types of speech and language concerns do you treat?
We provide therapy for a wide range of areas, including:

3. How do I get started?
Start by reaching out via our contact form. We’ll schedule a brief consultation call to learn more about your child’s needs. From there, we may recommend an initial evaluation before beginning therapy sessions.
4. Do you offer evaluations?
Yes! We offer comprehensive speech and language evaluations tailored to your child’s age and needs. Evaluations include parent consultation, standardized and informal testing, and a written report with individualized recommendations.
5. Where does therapy take place?
We offer in-person sessions in Old Greenwich, CT and teletherapy sessions for families seeking virtual support. Some sessions may also be held in homes, schools, or daycares depending on availability and scheduling.
6. How long are sessions?
Typical sessions are 30 or 45 minutes, depending on your child’s goals, age, and attention needs. We’ll discuss what’s most appropriate during the intake process.
7. Do you take insurance?
Communicate and Develop Speech Therapy is an out-of-network provider. We will provide superbills upon request so that you may seek reimbursement directly from your insurance. Please contact your insurance provider for details on your out-of-network benefits.
8. How often will my child need therapy?
Frequency varies depending on your child’s goals and progress. Most children attend 1–2 times per week. We’ll work with you to create a schedule that supports meaningful growth while fitting your family’s routine.
9. How do you involve parents in the process?
We believe strongly in collaboration. Parents receive regular updates, home practice ideas, and opportunities to ask questions. When appropriate, we include caregivers in sessions to model strategies that can be used at home. Teamwork makes the dream work!
10. What if I need to cancel a session?
We understand that life happens! We ask for notice by 5:00 pm the day prior to the scheduled sessions. Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a fee. Our full cancellation policy is included in our practice policies document.
